I’m not sure where to post this, if you have a better sub please let me know.
What is the rate at which muscle tissue grows from weight-training? Lets day a lifter gains 12 lbs of muscle in 1 year. How are these 12 lbs divided up during the year?
Do they grow gradually from the start of the year until the end of the year, given that the lifter has consistent and optimal diet and training? In that case, it would be 0.03 lbs per day, until the 12 lbs is reached?
Or does the muscle have spurts of growth at regular intervals? For instance, the person gains 1 lb of muscle within a week and this occurs every month, for a total of 12 lbs in 1 year. Or the persona adds 2 lbs within a matter of 4 days and this occurs every 2 months. (I’m making up the numbers but I hope I’m not confusing)
How exactly does the rate of muscle growth work? Again, lets assume that diet and training is consistent and optimal throughout the year.
